Our story

ExploraMunt is a travel agency totally dedicated to hiking, mountaineering and nature travel and is located in Sóller, in the Mallorcan mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, in Spain.

David Casajuana, a Mallorcan mountain and canyoning guide, is its founder and has the daily help of Sophie Silenne, a French-Spanish woman who also takes care of reservations, trip creation and logistics from the office in Sóller.

Together, they are the guarantors of your successful travel experiences.

David will often be your guide, but other guides and companions, who like him identify with Exploramunt's values - passion for the guiding profession, experience - will also guide our trips.

Committed to quality experiences, at Exploramunt we create almost all of our tours and take care of every detail. We are travel creators and guides, and we like to think that the care we give to our trips is more akin to craftsmanship than industry.

In our catalog, we offer unmissable classics, but also more secluded trips with unusual routes in little-known places. They all share a common thread: the beauty of the mountains and nature.

We choose our teams of collaborators for their values and know-how, and the number of people per group is reduced so that coexistence and the travel experience are essential points.

Why choose us?

Experience and technical knowledge

David has been a guide for over 30 years. From a young age, he was passionate about the mountains and nature, and even in his teens, he divided his time between climbing, birdwatching, and long hikes. Sometimes, he even combined these activities, and some climbers on his island were surprised to find him on a climbing route with binoculars in front of his eyes: a vulture was circling nearby, and it was not something they wanted to miss!

After several years of studying at the Faculty of Biology, he felt a strong desire to share his mountain and nature experiences with others and quickly gravitated towards becoming a guide. To train, he moved to the Pyrenees, where he spent several years completing a high-mountain guide course before returning to Mallorca.

In his 30 years of work, he has provided mountain rescue services, established a training school for the subject, and trained several classes of mid-mountain sports technicians. He now divides his time between the mountains of Mallorca and France, and spends several months of the year traveling with his clients to many corners of the world.

Exploramunt was born from all these experiences and the desire to continue sharing them.
