-
Welcome of participants in Palma (2 star hotel near the old town).
The guide will explain the program. Depending on your arrival time, you will have free time to visit Palma. Dinner is on your own, and overnight stay at the hotel in Palma.
-
Private minibus transfer to Valldemossa in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, the village that Chopin and George Sand chose to spend the winter of 1838.
Visit the charming village and hike towards the Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria ridges, enjoying fantastic views of the Tramuntana mountains and the coastline. In the afternoon, we descend through the shade of holm oaks and olive trees to the small village of Déià (the artists' village). Overnight stay in a typical small hotel in Déià.
5-hour hike - 550 m of positive elevation gain and 750 m of negative elevation gain
-
Among orange and lemon trees, the path leads us towards Cala de Déià and its transparent waters.
From here we follow the coast along a path that offers stunning views of the cliffs and forests of this part of the Tramuntana mountains. If the sea temperature permits, we take a dip in one of the small coves. After crossing the olive grove of Muleta, we arrive at the Sóller Bay lighthouse and our small hotel overlooking the sea, where we stay for three nights.
4h30 route - 300m of positive elevation gain and 500m of negative elevation gain
-
After a short bus transfer, we begin the journey that will take us through the secluded valley of Bàlitx and its 17th-century estates to the Sa Costera road and its views over the sea and the immense cliffs and rocky crags that surround Tuent.
Our tour ends at Tuent Cove. Swimming in the cove is possible depending on the time of year. We'll return to the Port of Sóller by boat (weather permitting) or by bus along the stunning Sa Calobra road. Overnight stay at a hotel in the Port of Sóller.
4-hour hike - 300m of positive elevation gain and 550m of negative elevation gain
-
After a bus transfer, we started walking through the Son Torrella valley to the Ofre pass, at 900m altitude.
Here, those who wish can climb to the summit of l'Ofre peak, which, at 1091m, offers an exceptional viewpoint over a large part of the island. After descending from Ofre, we'll pick up those who didn't reach the top and begin the magnificent descent of the Biniaraix ravine.
A cobbled path that originated during the Moorish domination of the island takes us through the Barranc valley and its thousands of terraces to the small village of Biniaraix and Sóller.
But first we will stop in one of the olive groves of Barranc for lunch (barbecue with typical Mallorcan sausages and other delicacies that we will cook over the fire ourselves).
From Sóller, the tram—dating back to 1929!—takes us to the port, a 20-minute journey. Overnight stay at a hotel in the Port of Sóller.
To the summit of Ofre: 6h journey, 300m of positive elevation gain and 1,050m of negative elevation gain
Without the summit of Ofre: 4h30 journey, 150m of positive elevation gain and 900m of negative elevation gain
-
This morning we finally left the Port of Sóller. After a bus transfer that dropped us off next to the Cúber reservoir, we started walking, enjoying beautiful views of Puig Major – the highest mountain in the Balearic Islands, at 1445m – and the Gorg Blau reservoir.
The trail crosses an oak forest and climbs to the foot of Massanella – the second highest peak in Mallorca – before taking us to the summit of Galileu, at 1180m. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Lluc valley and the northern part of the island.
On clear days, Menorca also appears on the horizon. We descend following the "Pedra en Sec" route, a network of paths of great historical value, paved for much of their length, to the Lluc Sanctuary. We spend the night in Lluc, where we can visit the chapel of the Virgin of Lluc, patron saint of Mallorca.
5h30 walking time - 500m of positive elevation gain and 800m of negative elevation gain
-
From Lluc we crossed an area of spectacular rocks eroded by the rain and descended towards the valley called March.
We hiked to the foot of Puig Tomir, 1100m, the last major peak in the northern part of the Tramuntana mountains before they disappear into the sea. The trail leads us a few kilometers from Pollensa, where our bus picks us up and takes us to Palma, arriving around 5 pm. *Disconnection in Palma or at the airport or port.
4-hour hike - 200m of positive elevation gain and 600m of negative elevation gain
